In this project, ShadowXL presents a modern frameless glass terrace enclosure that transforms an ordinary terrace into a comfortable garden lounge open to the surrounding greenery. The anthracite aluminium structure is mounted to the house façade, creating a clean and elegant frame for large glass panels. On the garden side, a frameless sliding glass system is used – when opened, the space fully connects with the lawn, and when closed, it effectively protects against wind, rain and cold without blocking the view.
The veranda roof is made of glass and fitted underneath with veranda pleated blinds – a flat, pleated sun-shading system installed between the rafters. The light-colored fabric gently filters sunlight, reduces heat buildup on hot days, and helps maintain a comfortable temperature under the roof. Thanks to adjustable positioning, the blinds allow precise control of shading – from fully open glass, through partial coverage, to complete shade over the seating area.
The interior is designed like a cozy home living room. At the back, there is a large technorattan corner sofa with grey cushions and a matching armchair, forming a comfortable lounge area. In the center, a low glass-top coffee table and a geometric-pattern rug add warmth to the wooden terrace flooring. On the opposite side, there is a dining table with a set of wooden and metal chairs – perfect for summer meals or long evenings with friends. Sun loungers, potted plants, and ambient lighting complete the space, allowing the veranda to transition seamlessly from dining to relaxation.
The frameless glass terrace enclosure combined with veranda pleated blinds creates a space that can be enjoyed far beyond the summer season. It protects against rain and wind, reduces heat during sunny days, and at the same time preserves an uninterrupted view of the garden and surrounding greenery.
