Cold Winter Garden Integrated into the Building Structure with Veranda Awning and Screens. Heating – Infrared Heaters

Another of our projects – a cold winter garden with a width of approximately 700 cm and a depth of 500 cm. The structure is finished in a custom RAL 7036 color with a fine texture. The terrace roof is made of laminated safety glass VSG 44.2, along with two side triangular panels also filled with VSG glass. In this project, we see a cold winter garden perfectly integrated into the structure of a modern house. The aluminum construction is directly connected to the facade, while the glass roof and sliding glazing create a light, elegant form.

Veranda Awning and Screens – Thermal Comfort All Year Round

This is a cold winter garden, but user comfort has been carefully considered. A veranda awning has been installed on top of the glass roof structure, reducing the amount of sunlight entering through the glazing. The fabric helps maintain a pleasant temperature for both residents and plants – protecting against overheating in summer while still allowing enough light to preserve a bright, natural atmosphere. The veranda awning acts as an external “umbrella” for the winter garden: it filters UV radiation, reduces heat buildup, and helps create more stable conditions for plants throughout the year.

On the front and sides of the structure, frameless sliding glass systems made of 10 mm tempered safety glass have been installed. Additionally, external screens (also known as ZIP screens) have been applied – discreet fabric blinds mounted on the outside of the structure. The screens are controlled wirelessly via remote control. When extended, they create a subtle, semi-transparent barrier that protects against low sun, wind, and the view of neighbors, while still maintaining visual connection with the surroundings. Screens allow precise control of the amount of light entering the space and further support thermal comfort, especially in structures with large glazed surfaces.

Interior of the Winter Garden: Dining Area, Lounge Zone and Heaters

The interior of this cold winter garden has been arranged as a полноценная living space. On one side, there is a large dining table with chairs, comfortably seating six people – perfect for family breakfasts, dinners with friends, or holiday gatherings. On the other side, a relaxation area has been designed with a corner sofa, coffee table, and ambient lighting. The space is complemented by infrared heaters, which provide pleasant warmth during cooler evenings – allowing the cold winter garden to be comfortably used beyond the summer season without the need for permanent heating.
