Aluminium Veranda for “Adriano” Restaurant: HoReCa, All-Season, HS Sliding System, Glass Roof | Budzisław Kościelny

All-Season Aluminium Veranda with HS Sliding Glass Walls and a Glass Roof – Adriano Restaurant

An aluminium veranda designed for the HoReCa sector at Adriano Restaurant creates a fully glazed, all-season guest space with a glass roof. The graphite aluminium structure, slimline profiles and expansive glass panels form a seamless connection between the intimate interior and the surrounding outdoor setting. It is a space where the boundary between inside and outside is almost imperceptible—particularly in summer, when favourable weather allows the full potential of the design to be realised.

A defining feature of this space is the sliding glass wall system, which can transform the veranda into a semi-open environment within moments. At such times, guests are surrounded by fresh air, subtle floral scents and the unique sensation of being both sheltered and outdoors. This dual nature makes the veranda equally suited to those seeking protection and those wishing to remain fully connected with nature.

Architecture and veranda specification

The combination of materials creates a sense of lightness and openness while ensuring structural durability. The glazed construction of this winter garden provides panoramic views of the surrounding greenery, while the aluminium framework guarantees long-term resistance to weather conditions.

The interior is furnished with light tables featuring pale tops and comfortable chairs in soft beige tones. Potted plants—palms, banana trees and lush greenery—create a welcoming, natural backdrop. During cooler days, stylish gas heaters in glass enclosures enhance thermal comfort. From the street side, the veranda is framed by carefully arranged planting beds in red hues, softening the façade and integrating it into the landscape. The glass roof provides uninterrupted views of the sky and evenly distributed daylight, while precision-engineered tracks and fittings ensure smooth, silent operation of the sliding doors. Integrated spot lighting within the rafters and decorative pendant lamps above the tables complete the ambience.

Advanced shading solutions

To ensure comfort in all weather conditions, the veranda is equipped with advanced solar shading systems.

ZIP screen blinds

The side glass walls are fitted with modern ZIP screen systems. These vertical fabric blinds provide effective protection against sunlight, wind and unwanted external visibility. The ZIP mechanism keeps the fabric secured within side channels along its full height, ensuring excellent wind resistance. The screens reduce UV exposure by up to 98% and help maintain a comfortable internal temperature. At the same time, they allow partial light transmission, preserving visual contact with the surroundings, while their minimalist design complements the contemporary aesthetic of the veranda.

Roof pleated blinds

The roof is equipped with pleated veranda blinds, one of the most advanced shading solutions available. Operating in a concertina-style system, they allow precise control over incoming light. The blinds can be adjusted from the top, bottom or any intermediate position, offering full flexibility in managing light levels and temperature. When fully retracted, they take up minimal space. In addition to shading, they provide thermal insulation, helping maintain optimal indoor conditions both in summer and winter.

Functionality in practice

The result is a modern, visually lightweight structure that extends the outdoor dining season and increases the number of fully functional seating areas regardless of weather conditions. The veranda at Adriano Restaurant combines the transparency of glass with the comfort of controlled shading systems, creating a true bridge between indoor and outdoor environments—performing equally well in bright midday sun and on cooler, rainy days.
