Modern glass veranda by a wooden house – terrace enclosure matched to the facade

This project is for everyone who dreams of modern glazing without giving up the warm, woodland charm of a wooden house.

A glass veranda perfectly matched to the wooden facade

A modern glass veranda was carefully matched here to the facade made of natural timber logs – its dark aluminium structure echoes the colour of the window frames and the roof, making the entire design look as if it had been planned together with the building from the very beginning. Slim profiles and frameless glazing do not hide the wood, but rather highlight it, creating an elegant combination of traditional material and modern architecture.

Modern glass and aluminium in a woodland wooden setting

The veranda opens widely onto the garden and the wall of the nearby forest. Glass walls and a roof made of safe laminated glass provide a panoramic view of the greenery, the lake, and the old majestic oak growing right next to the terrace. It was beneath its canopy that this glazed relaxation zone was created – thanks to this, the interior is filled with natural light at any time of day, and the changing seasons can be enjoyed as if in a private orangery.
Frameless sliding glass panels can be moved aside in moments, turning the enclosed veranda into an open terrace. This system allows you to decide whether, at a given moment, you want to enjoy a sheltered and cosy space or let in the scent of the forest, the breeze, and the sounds of nature. As a result, the household remains fully connected with the surroundings without giving up the comfort of protection from rain or cold.

A dining and relaxation zone under one glass roof

Inside, two distinct “micro-worlds” were planned. The first is a dining area with a large table and a set of chairs with striped cushions – perfect for family dinners, long breakfasts, or evening board games. The second is a relaxation area with comfortable wicker shell armchairs, layered with soft faux-fur throws and a large outdoor rug that adds warmth and cosiness to the space. There is even room for exercise equipment – allowing the owners to work out while enjoying a view of the forest and the water.

The glass veranda seamlessly connects the house with the garden. From the outside, its base has been lined with planters filled with greenery, softly “weaving” the structure into the lawn and forest surroundings. On one side, we have a rustic wooden house; on the other, a light, transparent form made of aluminium and glass. The result is a space that serves as an additional living room for most of the year: bright, open to nature, yet at the same time protected from rain and wind.
